"These shoes are special to me because I brought them for my Grandma's funeral. Me and my grandma was extremely close, especially because I saw her once a week.
She was an important person in my life - funny, kind and caring. She was one of the most inspirational person in my life.
The reason I'm doing my university course is because of her. When I was doing my A Level course in media, I got an interest in television. She said to me one day 'So I'm going to see you in the credits?' and that's the main reason why I started doing it so she could. She won't now, but I'm still doing it just for her.
She unfortunately got cancer and the last time I saw her was midway through April. We went over to her house, and I saw her laying in bed because she couldn't get out of it and we all sat around as a family spending time with her, making sure that she knew how much we loved and cherished her.
I miss her all the time and everyday. I don't wear the shoes very much because they're quite smart shoes. But i wear them if it makes my outfit pop, because it still reminds me of the funeral and how sad it was.
